I don’t usually wear wedge shoes except for formal outdoor events, especially on grass, and they are more comfortable than heels on soft surfaces. We live in a society that is strongly built on male hegemony (i.e. men dominate women). This is why fashion trends for men are often much more rigid than for women.

That said, some men, like me, wear heels. (Image below.) Basically, I don’t care about women versus women. Men clothes. If it’s nice and I wear it well, I’ll wear it. I don’t want to limit myself to a socially constructed idea of what men and women are supposed to do and wear. So why don’t men wear heels? Yes, some do. And people who don’t wear them may not wear them for a number of reasons: it’s not “masculine” – whatever that really means, they don’t look good, their heels hurt too much for them, they don’t. can walk in it, or they are afraid of what others will say about them.
